Clinical Psychology

The staff at Dunedin Psychology are all registered Clinical Psychologists. Clinical psychology is the branch of psychology that combines science, theory, and clinical experience to help understand and treat psychological distress and problem behaviours, and to foster well-being and personal development. Clinical Psychologists have extensive training involving many years of academic study and supervised clinical work, and in New Zealand clinical psychology is a regulated mental health profession.

  • How We Can Help

When you see a Clinical Psychologist, the time you spend with them is all about you, your challenges and problems, and the steps you can take to overcome them. Even when you’re not facing any particular problems, having that “me time” can be hugely beneficial in helping you navigate and enjoy your everyday life.

Life is often not easy, and we can find ourselves in situations that are hard to get through alone. Talking with a professional can help you sort out your thoughts and feelings when things are difficult or confusing, and help you get back on track.
